We know that planning a trip abroad can come with questions. That’s why we’ve gathered everything you might need to feel prepared and excited for your journey to Santorini.
Whether you’re flying in from Europe or beyond, Santorini (Thira) National Airport welcomes flights from major hubs and regional connections. From the airport, it’s a short 15-minute drive to the town of Firostefani, where our wedding events will take place.
Taxis, private transfers, and car rentals are available, but we recommend booking in advance, especially during the summer season.
Once you arrive, prepare to fall in love with whitewashed houses, dramatic cliffs, and the unforgettable views of the Aegean Sea. It’s more than a destination, it’s an experience we can’t wait to share with you.

By Car / Transfer
Getting Around the Island
Taxis, private transfers, and rental cars are available at the airport and port. If you’re staying in Fira or Firostefani, many attractions are within walking distance.
You may also use the island’s local bus system, which connects all major towns and beaches.
By Ferry
Port of Santorini (Athinios Port)
If you’re traveling from Athens or other islands, ferries are a scenic and popular option. Ferries depart from Piraeus daily and the journey takes about 5 to 8 hours, depending on the type of ferry.
High-speed options are available and we suggest booking in advance.
By Plane
Santorini (Thira) National Airport – JTR
The fastest way to get to Santorini is by flying directly into JTR Airport. There are direct international flights from several European cities during the summer, as well as frequent daily flights from Athens (about 45 minutes).
We recommend booking early as flights sell out quickly in peak season.
